Concept
Active voice-এ subject কাজটি করে; passive voice-এ কাজটি subject-এর উপর ঘটে। BCS Preliminary-তে প্রায় প্রতি বছরই voice change থেকে ২–৩টি প্রশ্ন আসে।
Active: Rahim writes a letter.
Passive: A letter is written by Rahim.
Rules by tense
Present Simpleam / is / are + V3
Past Simplewas / were + V3
Future Simplewill be + V3
Present Continuousam / is / are being + V3
Present Perfecthas / have been + V3
Common mistakes
- • Verb-এর ২য় রূপ (V2) ব্যবহার করা — passive-এ সবসময় V3।
- • Object না থাকলেও intransitive verb-কে passive করা।
- • 'by' এর বদলে ভুল preposition (known to, filled with)।
Exam tips
- • প্রথমে tense চিনুন, তারপর auxiliary বসান।
- • Imperative sentence → "Let + object + be + V3"।
- • Doer অপ্রাসঙ্গিক হলে 'by' phrase বাদ দিন।
